University of Oregon Students - How to Apply
Clubhouse is a rewarding place to work with many great kiddo's and UO leaders to get to know. Our program leaders work directly with children by supervising small groups, planning clubs, helping with homework, reading and supervising and playing during free-time. You will gain practical skills while building your resume! We are currently hiring for this school year (and possibly summer and next year if interested in staying on -we love that!). All our positions are work study positions through the UO financial aid program. You will need to complete a background check, get your First Aid/CPR card and receive an orientation and training. We do create a new schedule each term to meet the needs of our UO and Clubhouse students. If you are interested in applying for a position or need a great place to volunteer please contact Laura Rariden at [email protected]. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Executive Director
Laura Rariden, our Executive Director, completed her undergraduate work in Education and earned a Masters Degree in Public and Nonprofit Administration from the University of Oregon. She brings 25 years of after school programming experience including The Boys and Girls Club, YMCA and City of Eugene. Her specialty is in developing leadership skills with children and youth, volunteering her time by supporting Youth MOVE National as a founding board member. At Clubhouse she wears many hats: leading an activity with children, supervising program leaders, talking with parents, answering the phone all while averting (another) mini-crisis with grace and ease.
Program Leaders
Our staff at Clubhouse is directly drawn from the University of Oregon. We have a contract in place enabling us to hire students and specifically seek out future educators, councilors, social workers and others who plan on working with children as a career. (UO students from Creswell have a fast track pass to working at Clubhouse-especially if they volunteered or attended the program in the past!) Many of our staff have previous experience working in summer camps, volunteering in classrooms or working as tutors. Our specialty clubs are created from the unique interests and talents of our UO students to provide youth development opportunities for all children. Several UO students work with us throughout their college career and we love them dearly!
